We are a registered non-profit, charitable organization that connects people to meaningful volunteer opportunities and provides community information and services.
Is the water safe to drink?
Honduras – Yes, we test our water regularly and have filtered water readily available.
If I have food allergies, will I be able to come?
Yes, our kitchen staff is able to accommodate any allergies.
Are there any forms that need to be signed before arrival?
Yes, all of the following documents must be signed by all the participants before arrival:
– Release form
– Medical form
– Recognition of policies
– Groups must also sign the Risk Mitigation form (signed only by the group leader)
Can I use a credit/debit card around town?
Yes, in many places, you can use a debit/credit card. It is recommended that you bring small denominations of bills that are not ripped or marked.
Can we use U.S. currency?
Most places accept dollars, but you will receive the host country’s money in exchange. It is recommended that you bring small denominations of bills that are not ripped or marked.
Can we do laundry while there?
There are washing machines on campus that are available to use free of charge while participating in our programs. Laundry detergent is also provided.
How do I pay for the internship?
The down payment is due beforehand, depending on which program you choose, and will be specified in the program application. Payment information is provided during the application process. We recommend that you talk with your church to help handle fundraising and pay for the internship through your church.
Do I need to bring towels and sheets?
No, we have towels and sheets on campus and you will not need to worry about them.
