Build a community and lifelong friendships

Our interns are given the opportunity to create lasting bonds and friendships with the people who live and serve in Honduras, Mexico, and beyond through the partnership in the gospel that we have in Christ as we work together to proclaim Him to all nations in collaboration with the graduates of the SEPE seminary.

These eternal bonds are forged in the fires of hands-on ministry and service, as we pursue the common goal of making Christ’s name known through the proclamation of the gospel.

Develop skills through service

While interns are working with pastors and graduates of the seminary in their various ministries or businesses connected with the local church, they shadow and serve alongside faithful leaders in the community who, in turn, pass down the experience and knowledge that they have gained over the years.

What makes our internship program so unique is that we work with each applicant to place him or her under the tutelage of a Christian leader in the community who will provide invaluable insight into the field that they are pursuing, whether that be in a business or ministry.

We also lay out specific goals and outcomes that the intern will achieve throughout the internship, communicate these goals and outcomes to the business or ministry leader, and organize times of follow-up to ensure the intern is gaining the knowledge and experience desired over the course of the internship.

These experiences are invaluable to developing intercultural communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills that will not only mature the intern as a person but also optimize their service in-country.

Spiritual growth and personal reflection

We have strategically designed a curriculum that includes specific readings and short journals that help to reinforce the fundamentals of our Christian faith and coincide with the proclamation of the gospel alongside spiritual leaders in the community.

With the curriculum that we have designed, interns will not only be learning the foundations of the Christian faith but also be actively putting them into practice in the community to reinforce their spiritual maturity.
