General Internship Positions
Our internships are not limited to the areas listed below—these are examples of internship positions that we need help with every year. Once you’ve decided to join us, we work closely with each intern to place them in ministries where they can serve effectively and meet the needs at that time.
Missions and the Local Church
A missions-focused internship is more than a temporary role—it’s a season of equipping, growth, and service. Interns are immersed in cross-cultural ministry, where they learn to share the gospel, build relationships, and support local churches and communities. Daily life includes hands-on ministry projects, mentorship from experienced missionaries, and intentional discipleship that strengthens both personal faith and practical skills.
Instead of only “working a job,” interns live alongside local believers, experience the joys and challenges of missions, and see firsthand how God is moving around the world. The focus is not only on what you do, but on who you are becoming: a servant-hearted follower of Christ prepared to carry the Great Commission into whatever calling God has for you.
Business Administration
A Business Administration Internship with SEPE International provides hands-on experience in how organizational and business skills can directly support global missions. Interns use their knowledge of accounting, management, finance, international business, or IT to strengthen the day-to-day operations of SEPE and its partner churches in Honduras and Mexico.
Rather than working in isolation, you’ll serve alongside local church leaders and SEPE staff, helping to manage resources, streamline processes, and ensure ministry projects run effectively. This may include assisting with financial reporting, supporting administrative systems, improving communications, organizing mission trip logistics, or developing technology solutions that enhance the seminary’s training programs.
Through this internship, you’ll see how business skills are vital to sustaining ministry—whether by stewarding resources with integrity, developing efficient systems, or supporting the infrastructure that allows pastors, students, and churches to focus on gospel work. You’ll not only gain professional experience, but also discover how God can use your administrative and organizational abilities to build up His church and advance the Great Commission.
Marketing & Media
A Marketing & Media Internship with SEPE International is a unique opportunity to blend creativity with ministry. As an intern, you won’t just be behind a screen—you’ll be on the ground, capturing and communicating what God is doing through the local church and the ministry of SEPE.
You will work closely with SEPE International staff and partner churches in Honduras and Mexico, creating media that reflects their ministry efforts—whether it’s documenting community outreach, highlighting seminary training, or sharing the testimonies of pastors and students. Your role will help connect these stories with supporters, churches, and donors worldwide, ensuring that the impact of the ministry is seen and celebrated.
Daily tasks may include producing photos and videos of mission projects, designing graphics or newsletters for SEPE updates, and creating content for social media that encourages and mobilizes others to join in the mission. At the same time, you’ll grow spiritually as you learn how to use your creative gifts in the service of Christ, working alongside local believers and seeing firsthand how media can strengthen the global church.
Entrepreneurship
An Entrepreneurship Internship with SEPE International equips you to use innovation, creativity, and business development skills to serve the church and advance global missions. Interns explore how entrepreneurial thinking can meet real needs in local communities while supporting the ministry of SEPE and partner churches in Honduras and Mexico.
Your work may include developing small business initiatives, helping design sustainable income-generating projects for churches or ministries, or researching new opportunities that allow pastors and students to support their families while serving in ministry. You’ll collaborate with SEPE staff and local believers to identify challenges and create practical solutions that strengthen both the church and the surrounding community.
This internship goes beyond theory—it’s about seeing firsthand how entrepreneurship can be a tool for the gospel. By the end of your internship, you’ll better understand how business ventures can empower churches, provide resources for ministry, and model Christ-centered stewardship and creativity in a cross-cultural setting.
Sports Ministry
A Sports Management Internship with SEPE International combines a passion for athletics with the mission of the gospel. Interns use sports as a bridge to connect with local communities, disciple youth, and support the ministry of SEPE and partner churches in Honduras and Mexico.
You’ll work alongside church leaders and missionaries to organize and lead sports camps, tournaments, and outreach events that draw in young people and their families. Beyond planning and logistics, you’ll build relationships with athletes, coach teams, and use the universal language of sports to share Christ and encourage gospel-centered living.
At the same time, you’ll gain hands-on experience in sports event management—coordinating facilities, scheduling, promotions, and team development—while seeing how these skills can be used in ministry contexts. This internship provides the opportunity to witness how God can use sports not only for recreation but also as a powerful tool for discipleship, evangelism, and strengthening the local church.
